Welcome to HeyNick.ai, an AI-powered learning platform developed and operated by EdJoy Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("EdJoy", "we", "our", or "us").

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of:

• HeyNick.ai's web and mobile applications.
• Any features, APIs, integrations, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Definitions

• "Teacher/Moderator" – a person guiding and monitoring Students' use of HeyNick.ai.
• "School/Institution" – an educational entity providing HeyNick.ai accounts to Students and Teachers.
• "Account" – a registered profile within HeyNick.ai.
• "Content" – all text, images, audio, video, and other material, including AI-generated responses.
• "Paid Services" – subscription-based or premium features requiring payment.

Eligibility

• Minimum Age: Students must be at least 13 years old to use HeyNick.ai directly.
• Under 18: Requires consent from a Parent/Guardian or School.
• Institutional Use: Only authorized representatives may sign up for a School/Institution account.
• Prohibited Regions: The Services may not be used in countries where HeyNick.ai is restricted by law or export controls.

General Rules (Apply to All Users)

4.1 Account Security

• Provide accurate registration details.
• Keep credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4.2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload unlawful, harmful, or obscene content.
• Misuse AI tools for cheating in academic settings where prohibited.
• Infringe intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Services.

4.3 Intellectual Property

• All platform content and technology are owned by EdJoy Technologies.
• You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use HeyNick.ai for educational purposes only.

AI Output Disclaimer

• AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or outdated information.
• HeyNick.ai is not a human tutor, and AI content is provided "as is" for educational assistance only.
• AI outputs should not be relied upon for high-stakes academic submissions, legal, medical, or financial advice.
• Responses may vary depending on the phrasing of your question and available context.
• You are responsible for verifying any critical information provided by the AI.

Academic Integrity

• You must not submit AI-generated content as your own work in violation of school or exam rules.
• You agree to use HeyNick.ai as a study aid and not as a substitute for your own academic effort.
• Schools and teachers may monitor AI usage to enforce academic policies.

Role-Specific Terms

7.1 Students

• Use HeyNick.ai for personal learning only.
• Follow academic honesty guidelines set by your school.
• Do not share your login with others.

7.2 Parents & Guardians

• Responsible for creating and managing child accounts.
• Must review and consent to the processing of minors' data.
• Agree to monitor the child's use for compliance with these Terms.

7.3 Teachers & Moderators

• May assign tasks, review student progress, and provide guidance.
• Must ensure AI responses are used appropriately in educational settings.
• Prohibited from extracting or sharing student data outside permitted purposes.

7.4 Schools / Institutions

• Responsible for obtaining parental consent where required by law.
• Must manage account access securely.
• Required to comply with applicable privacy and child protection laws (e.g., COPPA, GDPR, DPDP Act).
• Institutional accounts may be subject to separate contractual terms and Data Processing Agreements (DPA).

Payments & Subscriptions

• Some features require a paid subscription ("Paid Services").
• Pricing, billing cycles, and payment methods are shown before purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
• Institutional licenses are governed by separate agreements.

Privacy & Data Protection

• Your use of HeyNick.ai is subject to the HeyNick.ai Privacy Policy.
• Schools and Parents must ensure consent is obtained for minors' data.
• We may use anonymized usage data to improve the Services.

Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
• Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Changes to These Terms
